I do have a different appreciation for different gender expressions, but that’s not to say that I consider any to be qualitatively “better”. In fact, although I identify as such, “lesbian” is sort of the shorthand response for my orientation. So I suppose someone’s gender expression affects how I’m attracted to a girl, but not necessarily whether I’m attracted to a girl. There are a lot of factors in play for whether I’m attracted to someone, which I’m sure is true of anyone.

Does that make any sense?

Five years is an awfully long time. Five years ago, despite all of my best-laid plans, I never anticipated that my life would look anything like it does now. Eventually, yes, I do want be married. Will that happen in the next five years? It would be nice, but I don’t know, and despite my compulsive planning tendencies, I can’t even speculate at this point.
